Pearlized
Chipboard:
(1) Pour Black UTEE into jars and using the back of a paint brush, scoop in
chosen color of Perfect Pearls. Mix up so the Perfect Pearls coats the UTEE granules.
Colors used were: Oliver (Sunflower Sparkle), Crazy (Interference Blue, Red, Green,
Violet) and Cat (Pewter).
(2) The
technique
works
best
if
the
surface
being
embossed over
is
dark/black.
Since
the
Zsiage
letters
have a
white
coating,
the
top
and
edges
were all
colored
in
with
a
Pitch
Black
Pigment Pen.
(3) Coat
letter
with
Perfect
Medium.
On scrap
paper,
coat
letter
with
UTEE/Perfect Pearls
mixture.
Leave
on
a
heavier coating
and
carefully
place
on
Non-Stick Craft
Sheet.
(4) Emboss
image. Because of the
heavier coating of powder
on the letter, keep the
Craft Tool high above
the letter, and slowly
move down closer. As the
powder begins to melt,
the powder will stay in
place. Note how the Perfect
Pearls rises to the top
to create a pearly, almost
iridescent effect.
(5) Let
cool. If any UTEE drips
over the edges of the
letter, trim while warm.
Emboss all letters and
put aside.
Pearly
Peel Offs
(6) Place photo
and embossed letters in
place to determine placement
of peel offs.
(7) With
everything else in place,
peel off chosen peels
offs and place onto black
scrapbook paper. Remove
photo and letters so that
you can now paint the
peel offs in.
(8) Because
Perfect Pearls has a binder
in them, they can be used
wet or dry. Dip waterbrush
into chosen color of Perfect
Pearls and mix onto the
Craft Sheet to create
paint. The more water
used, the more translucent the
color, less water, more
opaque the color will
be.
(9) Paint
in images. Create lighter
tones by adding in similar
colors (for example, start
with Forever Blue, then
add in some Turquoise,
Interference Blue and
for an even lighter shade
of any color, Perfect
Pearl).
(10) With
the excess colors of paints
on the Craft Sheet, load
them onto the waterbrush
and hit the brush over
your finger to create
a splatter pattern on
the scrapbook page.
Putting
it All Together!
(11) Use glue stick
to adhere photo in place.
(12) For
embossed chipboard letters,
squeeze small amounts
of Glossy Accents onto
the back of the letters
and spread out with finger
so there is a thin layer.
This will avoid the Glossy
Accents to squeeze out
from under the letters
when pressed into place.
(13) Glue
down letters and allow
to dry.
