(1) Tear up pages from an old book. Attach torn book pages to canvas “house” with Glossy Accents. I used a 2" x 2” piece of Cut-n-Dry Foam to apply. Place the pieces any which way you like! (Don’t worry about being neat or having all pieces of the book pages going the same way. I even used some pages that had photos or maps on them!) Glaze over top of all the page pieces again with Glossy Accents to seal and secure. Allow to dry.
(2) On a Non-Stick Craft Sheet, squeeze out a quarter sized amount of Adirondack Dimensional Pearls™ paints in Denim and Stream (or choose your own palette). Take a 1” wide brush and dip it into both colors and apply to your “house”. Apply paint sparsely, as you want to be able to see through to the words or images of your book pages. Paint in all different directions for a nice textured look. If you want a smoother look, you can apply the Adirondack Dimensional Pearls™ with a piece of Cut-n-Dry Foam. Allow to dry.
(3) Stamp images onto your “house” with Archival ink in Jet Black.
(4) Find a patterned paper that matches your theme. This will go behind your photos. Cut two pieces the size of the recessed areas of your “house”. Crumple, then flatten pieces. Glue to the recessed parts of your “house” using Glossy Accents.
(5) Take two photos and cut them down to 2" x 2". Sandwich between two pieces of 2" x 2" Memory Glass. Wrap the edges with foil tape and burnish flat with a Paper Creaser. Attach the foil-wrapped photos to the recessed parts of your “house” with Glossy Accents.
(6) Finish off by adding the embellishments and ephemera of your choice. Here I used stickers, metal embellishments and faux gems. Attach with Glossy Accents.
