Interference Clay Frame

Create stunning iridescent effects with Perfect Pearls™ Interference Kit and Black Premo Clay! This technique is perfect for picture frames, boxes, scrapbook embellishments and jewelry making!

Materials List -
Perfect Pearls™ Kit Interference
Perfect Pearls™ Open Stock Perfect Gold , Blush
Melt Art® Non-Stick Craft Sheet
• Black Premo Clay, Polyform (rolled on #3 thickness through pasta
    machine)

• 9” x 7” MDF Frame, MSI (Michael’s)
• Black Acrylic Paint, DecoArt
• Kato NuBlade™
• Foam Paint Applicator
• Stamps – sources unknown
• Photo

Instructions  

(1) After conditioning clay through pasta machine, lay out clay on the Non-Stick Craft Sheet on top of the work surface. Impress various stamped images into clay creating a collage design.

(2) Cut clay piece to fit frame using Kato NuBlade.

(3) Using large Perfect Pearls brush, dust and swirl various colors of Perfect Pearls into clay randomly spreading color all over the design.

(4) Place the clay on the front of the frame, lining it up to fit. Bake clay and frame according to clay manufacturer instructions. NOTE: Be sure to remove glass and hardware pieces from frame before baking.

(5) Paint the sides and back of cooled frame with two coats of Black Acrylic. Put aside and allow to completely dry.

(6) Mount glass and your favorite photo in the frame and replace hardware.
