Instructions

(1) Cut white cardstock and place on Craft Sheet.

(2) Apply a light coating of Milled Lavender Distress Ink with Ink Blending Tool and Foam. Start at the edge of the paper and work in a circular motion over random areas of the card; working the Blending Tool this way will allow you create nice blending of color and not “blocks” of color.

(3) Tap Ink Blending Foam into the Dusty Concord ink and continue to add ink to the card.

(4) Place a new piece of Blending Foam onto the Ink Blending Tool. Tip: use tweezers to remove the inky piece of foam. Keep the foam when you need to use that ink tone the next time!

(5) Repeat steps 2-3, but this time using Tattered Rose, followed by Worn Lipstick, working in random sections.

(6) Position Branch and Bird Masks onto chosen area of paper.

(7) Using Ink Blending Tool, apply a heavy coat of Aged Mahogany over the bird masked area, working in a circular motion; pay particular attention to completely inking the edges and cut out areas of the mask.

(8) Apply Dusty Concord over the Branch masked area.

(9) Once all ink is applied, carefully remove the masks. Note: never apply a heat tool to the Mask itself, as it will shrivel up.

(10) Fill Mini Mister with water and use Tim Holtz’ “Spritz and Flick” technique, in which you mist water into your cupped hand and flick it onto the card, creating splotchy gradations of color. Repeat until desired look is achieved.

(11) Let water sit for 5-10 seconds and blot with paper towel. Repeat spritz and flick if necessary.

(12) Allow paper to dry or speed drying with craft tool.

(13) Add rub-on and flower accents; adhere to coordinating cardstock base.
