Prepare the journal cover:
(1) Cut a piece of red paper the same size as
the front of your journal. Slowly tear in half from
upper right corner to lower left corner.
(2) Stamp right hand piece with
handwriting stamp using Archival Ink in Jet Black.
Adhere paper to journal cover with glue stick. Trim any
excess.
Gather the components for your Memory Frame art:
(1) Cut a piece of cardstock that is 2
x 2.
(2) Size and photocopy your vintage
photograph to fit in a 2 x 2 piece of Memory Glass.
Cut out background. Cut wings from your old book page.
(3) Find the word love from book
page, or print out from computer. Edge the piece using
Distress Ink in Tea Dye and a 1 square of Cut-n-Dry
Foam.
(4) Color lace using Distress Ink in
Tea Dye, by dabbing ink pad onto lace. Or, you can also
press lace into ink pad if your dont mind getting dirty
fingers.
Assemble Memory Frame art:
(1) Take ephemera (here I used a
vintage red ticket to a boys & girls dance) and adhere
to the top 2/3 of your 2 x 2 piece of cardstock with
glue stick.
(2) Glue wings to the back of girl in
photo.
(3) Glue entire photo onto cardstock.
(4) Trim off excess, so your artwork is
again 2 x 2.
(5) Place lace at bottom of cardstock
and trim of excess.
(6) Sandwich art between two pieces of
2 x 2 Memory Glass.
Assemble and attach your Memory Frame &
embellishments:
(1) Take your 2 x 2 Memory Frame and
open it to place your art & Memory Glass inside. Make
sure ring is at bottom. Close the frame, making sure the
tab is inserted into the appropriate slot. Burnish tab
down with a Paper Creaser.
(2) Tie key charm to bottom ring using
twine.
(3) Glue to Memory Frame to journal
using Glossy Accents.
(4) Decorate journal rings with fibers.
